This pen is crafted from ancient Irish Bog Oak, estimated to be over 5,000 years old and unearthed just 100 meters from my home. Preserved for millennia in Ireland’s peat bogs, this rare timber has been carbon dated by Queen’s University, Belfast, to be between 3,500 and 7,000 years old—offering a tangible connection to Ireland’s prehistoric landscape.
